On 10th Jan 2008 following 2 months reconstruction, m/t Romanka was brought back to operation. The vessel has been rebuilt to a full double skinned hull (both the sides and the bottom). The ship is now compliant with all the international regulations (ie. MARPOL 74/78 Annex H) governing carriage of the heavy fuel oils. Furthermore, she has been equipped with some new efficient bunker delivery pumps and a very accurate electronic cargo measurement system.
